CWSC Supports Primo’s Home Visiting Program!

July 10, 2026

Primo Center is deeply grateful to Chicago White Sox Charities (CWSC), a fund of the Robert R. McCormick Foundation (RMF), for its generous grant supporting Primo’s Home Visiting Program. CEO Felicia Blakley and CDO Katy Walsh recently attended a grant recognition gathering to thank RMF Grant Manager Ava Schneider and CWSC Executive Director Christine O’Reilly for their investment in this program.

This funding will help Primo strengthen critical support for families by expanding access to individualized, in-person home visiting services. Through the program, parents benefit from healthcare access, mental health support, maternal and early childhood programs, case management, and employment assistance.

For families moving into a new home, consistent support can make a meaningful difference. Barriers to healthcare, early childhood resources, and trusted guidance can place additional stress on parents and children. Primo’s Home Visiting program helps reduce those barriers by establishing healthy home practices, strengthening parent-child relationships, and supporting the routines and resources that help children thrive.

With this funding, Primo anticipates serving 50 households across 500 in-person home visiting sessions in 2026. This investment will help families build stronger foundations for health, stability, and long-term resilience.

Thank you to Chicago White Sox Charities and the Robert R. McCormick Foundation for their continued commitment to serving families across Chicago!
