NBC 5 was an official sponsor of the event donating on-air news coverage, 15-second PSA commercials and plenty of pre-and-post publicity on the station’s website www.nbc5.com.

August 3, 2007 — Actress and author Carmen Electra will be the VIP host of the first annual RedHot Midnight Kiss August 18, 2007 from 9 P.M. to 3 A.M. at the West Loop nightclub Bon V located at 1100 West Randolph Street in Chicago. Proceeds from the event benefit the Primo Center for Women and Children (PCWC), a 120-day transitional shelter for homeless mothers and their children located in the Austin and Garfield neighborhoods on the west side of Chicago.

“We’re so excited to have Carmen be involved with raising money for our special families,” said Quintin E. Primo III, Chairman of the Primo Center for Women and Children. “However, in addition to raising funds, we also want this event to create dialogue on the problem of homeless women and children in this country, which is the fastest growing segment of the homeless population in America.”

“It’s very important to help people in need,” said Carmen Electra, who in May released her latest book ‘How To Be Sexy’. “Giving back is something that has been important throughout my career, and that’s why I’m pleased to be associated with the Primo Center for Women and Children.”

RedHot Midnight Kiss featuring Carmen Electra is the sister event of the RedHot Gala which raised over $400,000 and celebrates its sixth year in October 2007.

The August 18th event will feature a Red Carpet appearance by Carmen and other VIP guests.

“Our goal is to raise over $200,000 for the Primo Center,” said Trish Hoffman, Co-chair of the event and Primo Center for Women and Children, member of Board of Director’s. “This event was created to raise awareness about the enormous problem this country is facing when it comes to mothers and children being homeless. I am just so pleased that Carmen and a long list of sponsors have come on-board to help our effort.”
